Praise Recordings, LLC
The history of PRLLC began with a prayer to the Lord. Ann Kincaid is an accomplished musician and business woman with a Masters in Organizational Management.
In 2011 she worked through the challenges of a job downsize and losing her home. To keep herself encouraged she prayed for a little harp and if received, she would "praise the Lord" with it.
Two weeks later she found one advertised that had been abandoned in a storage locker in Springdale, Ohio. It was an 11 year old 22", 26-String Limerick harp with a 7" crack on the soundboard. This particular harp was built by Mennonite Praise Harp carpenters in Coshocton, Ohio. The company still had a record of the instrument's dedication verse which was Psalm 9:1, "I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works." This verse became PRLLC's theme.
Ann did not have a background in music or had been professionally trained. However, within two months of buying the harp, and to the surprise of all who knew her, Ann discovered she could play almost anything she wanted by ear. This sweet sounding harp began to encourage others, and Ann as well. The cracked instrument held together through the production of three albums and gigs in various states. As recordings sessions expanded, Ann began playing other instruments as well, such as crystal (glass) flute and keyboard.
In 2016, Ann officially opened Praise Recordings, LLC, which collaborates with volunteer Christian musicians and various other types of artists. The business goals include creating inspiring original music, along with various artistic community projects, to find new ways to PRAISE THE LORD!
*The fourth album has been delayed due to Covid-19 studio closures, and Ann recovering from a broken hand injury and surgery.
