John's Introduction
The book of John in the bible focuses on the heart and majestic calling of the Lord Jesus the Christ (Messiah). The author introduced him as the Word (or direct voice) of God. He said that people did not realize who he was - the prophesied sacrificial Lamb of God that was sent to take away the sin of the world. He was also described as full of light, grace and truth, the Son of God, the Son of Man, and the King of Israel.
